Centaur RC Club Rules

  • Absolutely NO alcohol products or illegal drugs are allowed on the field at ANY time.
  • All club members shall act as club Safety Officers and have the right and responsibility to see that other fliers act in a safe and responsible manner.
  • All flying activities shall conform to current AMA regulations.
  • All fliers must hold current AMA membership and coverage as well as FAA registration.
  • Guests are permitted to fly only if they hold an AMA membership card and are accompanied by a current club member (this excludes sanctioned events). The accompanying club member is fully responsible for that guest’s actions. Guests may visit/fly up to 3 times without a club membership.
  • All flight equipment will be kept in the designated pit area.
  • There is to be NO flying over the pit area, spectator area or parking areas.
  • Only pilots and spotters are allowed at or beyond the flight line fence while actively flying.
  • NO person is to physically touch ANY aircraft while in flight. This includes drones.
  • Alll gasoline and glow fuel powered engines must have approved mufflers.
  • When any FPV (First Person View) flying is conducted, the pilot MUST be on the flight line and have a spotter present at all times during the flight. The spotter must have a visual line of sight with the aircraft at all times.
  • While 2.4 GHz radio systems are most common, if any pilots are still flying older technology radio systems such as AM, FM, or PCM, they must still use the frequency pin control board. The pin is to remain in your possession at all times and your AMA is to be put in the respective frequency pin slot. No transmitter shall be powered on without the pin in your possession.
  • ALL MEMBERS are responsible for enforcement of these rules.
  • These rules are subject to change, to be added or modified as the club officers see fit.
  • Club members are to treat one another with respect and dignity on and off the field. There is to be no harassment or bullying between members.
